Nikolay Dimitrov is a Senior Scientist at DTU Wind Energy. He has 9 years of experience in Wind Energy, including working as a development engineer, industrial PhD student, and academic. Since 2013 Nikolay Dimitrov has been employed at DTU Wind Energy, carrying out research in the fields of applied statistics and probabilistic design for wind energy. His main contributions include improving the wind turbine design load assessment by devising statistical models for wind condition inputs, and his work on structural reliability of wind turbine blades which has led to better modelling, analysis capabilities and understanding of the uncertainties associated with blade structural design.
