Marc de Jong

Biography

Joining LM Wind Power in 2015, Marc de Jong previously had a successful career with Philips where he was a member of the Royal Philips Group Management Committee and CEO of various divisions. He was also CEO of the automotive and identification business of NXP Semiconductors before beginning his own management consultancy. Leading LM Wind Power for the past couple of years, Marc de Jong has delivered strong results, instrumental for the acquisition by GE Renewable Energy in April 2017. Working with a growing global team, Marc has led LM Wind Power to its highest ever revenue and expansions into new markets like Turkey and France. Last year, the company launched the world’s longest blade at 88.4 meters based on an innovative hybrid carbon technology; and at the end of 2016, LM Wind Power announced an industry leading pledge to go carbon neutral in 2018. Marc de Jong is currently a member of the Supervisory Boards of First Sensor AG and Sioux BV. He holds a Master’s in Physics and Mathematics from VU University Amsterdam and two MBAs from the University of Rochester and Erasmus University Rotterdam.
