Dr Nick Hughes is the CEO and Founder of Lecida Inc, a Silicon Valley startup company working at the intersection of machine learning and the industrial internet of things. Before founding Lecida he led the machine learning and data science team at iRhythm Technologies, and prior to that was the principal data scientist at AliveCor Inc. Nick received an MEng in Engineering & Computing Science and a DPhil in Machine Learning and Signal Processing, both from the University of Oxford. Following his PhD he was appointed to the WW Spooner Junior Research Fellowship in Engineering at New College, Oxford, and subsequently held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University.
