Po Wen Cheng is currently a professor at the University of Stuttgart. He spent the last 20 years working in wind energy, both in the academia as well as in the industry. He obtained a PhD degree from Delft University of Technology working on offshore wind. Later he worked for GE Wind Energy in various functions, working mainly on wind turbine technology, onshore and offshore. He leads a research group on wind energy focusing on measurement and validation, simulation and modelling, control and optimization.
