Professor Yongqian Liu received a PhD degree in Production Automation at Nancy 1 University in France and a PhD in Hydropower Engineering in 2002, under a joint doctoral program between Huazhong University of Science & Technology, Wuhan, China, and University of Henri Poincare Nancy 1, Nancy, France. He is one of the founders of the Bachelor’s program “Wind Energy and Power Engineering” in China. Currently, he is a professor in the School of Renewable Energy in North China Electric Power University. His research interests include Wind Power Prediction, Wind Farm Design and Operation Technologies, as well asCondition Monitoring and Diagnoses for Wind turbine Generator Systems.
