Research Assistant, University of Oldenburg, Germany
Since 2013, Ms. Vorspel is working as a research associate at ForWind within the computational fluid dynamics group (CFD) at the institute of physics of the university of Oldenburg. She studied environmental techniques and ressource management at the University of Bochum, where she focused on renewable energies. She received her master degree in 2013. During a one year stay at the University of Huelva (Spain) she studied possible solutions of using renewable energies, both isolated and integrated. In her work, she focuses on the combination of aerodynamical optimization with numerical simulations in OpenFOAM. Her research is part of the two consecutive research projects SmartBlades and SmartBlades 2.0 in cooperation within the Research Alliance Wind Energy. Besides the scientific work, she supports the organization and project development of the CFD group Oldenburg.
