Mr. Javier Sarmiento studied Civil Engineer at the University of Cantabria, and he completed his academic formation doing a MSc in Integrated Coastal Zone Management at the same University. He is working in the IH Cantabria from 2012. During this seasons he has worked in more than 30 researches projects related with the Offshore Engineering and Marine Renewable Energy. The main roles developed has been, the numerical modeling of floating and fixed foundations (CFD and potential flows numerical models) and the design and execution of several experimental tests in the facilities of the IH Cantabria, mainly focus on the global performance of floating (coupled analysis) and fixed (scour and stability) marine renewable foundations.
