Biography

Dr. Dagmara Kośka is a Member of Cabinet of the Vice-President of the European Commission, Maroš Šefčovič, responsible for the Energy Union, where she is responsible for the regulatory framework for the post 2020 period, renewables, energy efficiency, infrastructure, regional cooperation and competition policy. Dagmara has previously worked as Member of Cabinet of the Commissioner for Energy, Mr. Günther Oettinger, advising him on energy efficiency and competition law. She has several years of experience in the application of EU merger and energy policy working in the Directorates General for Competition and for Energy. Before joining the European Commission, she worked in law firms Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Cologne and Redeker Sellner Dahs in Bonn. Dagmara is a lawyer by training (Second State Exam in Law at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, Germany) and holds a Doctorate in the European competition law from Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn.
