Jimmy Murphy has been working in the marine engineering sector for more than 20 years and currently is Lead Technical Engineer for the Lir National Ocean Test Facility as well as part of the academic staff of University College Cork . He has a Bachelors degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, a M(Eng.) Sc. in coastal engineering, and a PhD in nearshore coastal dynamics. He is coordinator of the new EU FP7 LEANWIND, H2020 MARINET2 and H2020 MARINERG-i .
