Lars Kröger

PhD Candidate, ForWind and Institute of Physics, University of Oldenburg, Germany

Biography

Lars Kröger has been working in wind energy research for almost 5 years. He is currently a PhD candidate at ForWind, Center for Wind Energy Research, and the Institute of Physics of the University of Oldenburg. He studied physics at the University of Oldenburg and specialized during his bachelor in the experimental research of renewable energy. Main objective of his work is the investigation of turbulence with atmospheric like features in wind tunnel experiments and the interaction of structures (e.g. air foils, model wind turbines) with turbulent wind fields. He has been involved in the Innwind.eu project for the last four years, developing an active grid as turbulence generator for wind tunnel experiments.
