Biography
Kate Harvey has been working in the energy industry for 15 years. She is currently the General Manager of the G+ Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation. The G+ has ten members, all of which operate offshore wind farms, and we work together on improving health and safety in the industry. Kate started this role as a secondment from SSE, but from October 2017 is employed by the Energy Institute (secretariat for G+).
Kate began her career at RWE in 2002, working on delivering onshore wind farms and general renewable energy strategy for RWE. She then spent some time as a consultant at AMEC Foster Wheeler, advising on offshore wind. Kate then joined SSE in 2008, where she undertook the following roles; Consents Manager for Greater Gabbard, Project Manager for Galloper, which is currently under construction and SSE Asset Manager for Dogger Bank. Kate was also a director for Seagreen Wind Energy Limited.
