Climatologist / Data Analyst, Meteotest, Switzerland
Paul Froidevaux obtained his Master in Atmospheric and Climate Sciences from the ETH Zurich in 2011. He then did a PhD at the University of Bern, focusing on natural hazards and more specifically on the interaction between the large-scale atmospheric flow and major floods in Switzerland. Paul joined Meteotest in 2015. At Meteotest, he is in charge of numerical weather prediction, including operational forecasting of icing on wind turbines. Paul is also involved in various projects focusing on the impact of icing on the operation of wind turbines; mainly analyzing on-site meteorological measurements, webcam pictures and SCADA data.
