WindEurope Conference 2017 featured 39 sessions over three full days.

The conference opened with high-level politicians and C-level industry leaders debating industry trends and outlook. This was followed by a comprehensive programme of parallel session featuring general and scientific presentations relating to onshore and offshore wind energy on the topics listed below:

Resource assessment onshore and offshore
Supply chain, logistics and O&M on land and at sea
Integrating wind power into the electricity market
Health & safety on land and at sea
Environmental impacts, social acceptance & planning on land and at sea

Sector coupling / wind supporting the transition in other sectors

In this section, you will be able to access the presentation files (ppt/pdf) and audio recordings of all presentations and panel discussions. To note: Online Conference Proceedings are accessible free of charge to all WindEurope members and to conference delegates holding a 3-day conference pass. All eligible conference delegates received their access credentials per email on 21 December 2017. WindEurope members who did not attend the event or did not have a 3-day conference pass will find an access link to the proceedings via the Members Area on windeurope.org.

Scientific Proceedings

Scientific abstracts on all topics underwent a separate review by members of the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE) and selected full papers have been published in the open-access Journal of Physics: Conference Series.

A programme developed “for the sector, by the sector”

By the sector: The call for abstracts and peer-review process by WindEurope and EAWE members ensures a unique blend of relevant academic and industry content giving you the latest developments in the sector, from lab to field.

For the sector: The conference is where players across the wind energy sector, from industry and academia, can exchange ideas and experience to the benefit of the sector as a whole.

We keep sales pitches out of the conference programme (they have a better home on the exhibition floor) and don’t sell speaking slots, as commercial event organisers would.

All the revenue generated from our events is reinvested in services to the wind industry, so that you still benefit long after the event has ended.
