Biography
Geonhwa has Ph.D in offshore renewable energy/micro-meteorology and specializes in wind resource assessment, with a strong academic background in atmospheric science and micro-meteorology, including expertise in turbulence, atmospheric stability, and numerical weather prediction modelling for wind energy. He has extensive experience in localized wind resource analysis, wind farm turbine layout design, annual energy production estimation, and uncertainty quantification, and currently leads APAC region projects for OWC within these scopes. Geonhwa has been actively involved in numerous government R&D initiatives, commercial developments, and academic research projects, and serves as reviewers/editors for atmospheric science/renewable energy journals. He is proficient in ArcGIS/QGIS for constraint mapping and spatial analysis of offshore wind farms. Geonhwa has published more than 20 papers in leading domestic and international journals, establishing himself as a recognized expert in the wind energy sector.Posters
