Session description
The wind industry is growing fast, but it needs more skilled workers to keep up. According to the Global Wind Workforce Outlook 2024-2028, the sector will need 532,000 technicians within the next five years, including 212,000 new hires.
This session, led by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO), will explore key job roles mapped to support entry into the sector and how standardized training can help students step into these careers. Through presentations and discussions, students will gain practical insights into how education, technical training, and certification can open doors to career opportunities in wind energy.
