Session description

The European Green Deal offers a great opportunity for industrial decarbonization. Companies need access to affordable, sustainable, and secure energy supplies while decreasing dependence on fossil fuels. Current electrification technologies can meet specific industry needs across all sectors. This panel will assess the potential of current and near-term electrification technologies to meet industrial demand across sectors. It will discuss barriers to deployment in Europe and provide key EU policy recommendations to achieve climate targets while maintaining industry competitiveness, focusing on short-term measures for quick impact.
