Biography

Bringing with him vast experience, strategic vision, and leadership in the renewable sector, Juan Gutiérrez joined RES as Global CEO of Services in May 2024. With a strong background in asset management, operations and maintenance, as well as the development of digital solutions, Juan is driving RES' growth and success in the energy sector. Juan's focus is on fostering collaboration, connecting with people, leveraging his diverse cultural experience and driving innovation to enhance the company’s global presence across asset management, O&M and spare parts. With a strong commitment to operational excellence, he is dedicated to expanding and strengthening RES' service offerings, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers in a rapidly growing industry. RES is the world’s largest independent renewable energy company, working across 24 countries and active in wind, solar, energy storage, green hydrogen, transmission, and distribution. Throughout his career, he has led large teams as CEO of Services at Siemens Gamesa, where for 19 years he led a global team of more than 12,000 professionals in 40 countries. Under his leadership, the Global Services division achieved exceptional growth, establishing itself as a benchmark in the sector. His ability to foster innovation and deliver results has been instrumental in shaping the evolution of renewable energy services. Originally from Colombia, Juan Gutiérrez is a mechanical engineer by background. He holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering and energy systems from the United States, where he has lived for the past 21 years. He is based in Florida with his family.
