Biography
Currently Head of Marine Planning Policy Division in the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, Government of Ireland, with responsibility for the development of Ireland's marine planning framework. Previously served with the Maritime Area Regulatory Authority leading on Strategy, Governance and Stakeholder Engagement having been responsible at Head of Business Unit level for establishing the Authority. Served in various roles across policy, strategy, legislation and delivery within the Irish civil service over a 20+ year career. Hold an MSc in Environmental Economics, Policy and Risk from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and a BSc in Zoology from University College Cork.
