Biography

Passionate about Ships and energy transition - I have a broad experience from a myriad of roles in the maritime industry in the U.S., Singapore and The Netherlands. I have a background in Naval Architecture with a B.Tech from IIT Madras (India) and M.Sc from University of Michigan (USA). In the last 10 years, I have been involved in both Regulatory industry - Technology Review, Survey and Design Review - and Shipbuilding industry working with workboats, ferries, offshore vessels, cargo vessels and yachts. In my current role at Damen, I coordinate R&D efforts towards development of advanced offshore & Special vessels from concept through delivery with a multi-disciplinary approach including hydrodynamics, structures, acoustics, electrics, mechanics and full-system simulations and tests. This also includes scoping out new technologies, testing and integrating them within the vessel system.
