Business Development Manager, Navantia Seanergies

Biography

Naval Architect and Oceanic Engineer, he has spent almost his entire professional career at Navantia, holding positions in different directions. Passionate about communication and with knowledge and experience in the most technical areas, he enjoys dealing with customers and business development at Navantia Seanergies, Navantia's marine renewable energy division. He began his career in 2004 in the production department of the Navantia shipyard in San Fernando (Cádiz). In 2006 he joined the engineering department of Navantia in the Bay of Cadiz. He holds the position of engineering project manager. Seven OPV vessels of two different designs were delivered between 2010 and 2011 as part of this project. Subsequently, he participates in different projects, providing engineering support to the commercial team of Navantia. In 2013 he joined Navantia's commercial division in Madrid as part of the commercial team for military vessels. For six years he coordinated the activity in different countries such as South Africa, Algeria, Singapore, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Colombia, Peru or Chile and supported the rest of the team in other locations. In 2019 he was appointed Marketing Director, initially within the commercial department and later within the communication department. From his position, he provides services to all of Navantia's business areas, covering the defence, systems, repairs and renewable energy markets. Since June 2023, he has held the position of business development manager at Navantia Seanergies, within the commercial team of this department. Its responsibility is to open up markets in geographical areas where Navantia Seanergies does not yet work (such as Australia or the USA) and to expand the activity with innovative products and services, such as the maintenance of wind farms or opportunities for marine renewable energies other than wind power such as hydrogen.
