Biography

Astrid Bergmål (b. 1982) was appointed State Secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy on 20th June 2023. Astrid Bergmål was formerly State Secretary for the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (2021 - 2023). She has previously worked for the Enterprise Federation of Norway (Virke), and as a Political Adviser in the Norwegian Labour Party’s parliamentary party group. From 2011–2012, she was a Political Adviser in the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. She was a Deputy Member of Parliament in the period 2001–2005. Bergmål is a qualified lawyer from the University of Oslo and Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg (2001-2007).
