Biography

Catherine Kelly is an experienced Marine Scientist with a strong focus on oceanography and data-driven marine technologies. Holding an MSc in Marine and Coastal Systems from the Universidade do Algarve and a BSc in Environmental Science from Ulster University, she specialises in deploying and maintaining metocean buoys, with expertise in data collection, processing, and analysis. Currently working at TechWorks She has taken lead on projects including all-Ireland water quality assessment, LiDAR and mooring recovery, managing real-time data buoys. She has a keen interest to develop her own business in the renewable energy industry. Outside of work, Catherine has a keen interest in sailing.
