Biography
Paolino Tona is a research engineer and a project manager for the Ocean and Wind Energy Program at IFP Energies nouvelles. He holds a MSc and a PhD in automatic control from INP Grenoble, France, and a MSc in computer science and control from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Control has been his main focus since he joined IFPEN in 2000, leading studies on applications as diverse as hybrid vehicles, waste heat recovery systems, energy management or wave energy converters, most of them in the framework of industrial collaborations. During his career, he has authored more than 50 publications and registered 10 patents on control-related topics. He is currently in charge with the coordination of IFPEN R&D activities in wind farm control.Posters
