Biography

David Baumgärtner has been working in the wind industry for around 5 years. He is currently employed at the Offshore Logistics Group at Fraunhofer IWES as a research associate. He studied mechanical engineering at the ETH Zurich followed by a PhD in turbomachinery design at the University of Cambridge. His current research is focused on the optimisation of logistical processes at offshore wind farms via various modelling and statistical approaches.
