Biography

Esperanza is a mechanical engineer with a Master's degree in Wind Energy from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Originally from Chile, she moved to Denmark to pursue her passion for wind energy. After working for three years in the industry, she decided to follow her true passion and pursue a PhD. Her current PhD research focuses on developing innovative methods for wind field reconstruction using a novel lidar system mounted on the hub of a wind turbine. The goal of her work is to enhance lidar-assisted control technology, improving wind turbine performance and contributing to advancements in the renewable energy sector.
