Biography
Leila Neimane is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the University of Latvia, Faculty of Law, Institute of Legal Science, for the “Life-cycle of an offshore wind farm in the legal framework: the case of Latvia” (No. LU-BA-ZG-2024/1-0024) project, funded by the European Union (No. 5.2.1.1.i.0/2/24/I/CFLA/007). She was awarded a Ph.D. degree from the University of Latvia, Faculty of Law in 2019. During doctoral studies, she participated in several local and international projects as a researcher at the University of Basel (Switzerland) and the University of Pretoria (South Africa). Her principal academic interests are maritime spatial planning, blue economy, renewable energy and regional development, as well as environmental rights, environmental democracy, environmental justice, environmental impact assessment, and strategic environmental assessment.Posters
