Biography

Elin Steinsland has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry working within areas such as technology, business development and executive management. She holds a master's in physics and a PhD in silicon sensor technology. She is currently the CEO of HydePoint. HydePoint works to solve the energy transmission needs of future offshore wind farms by allowing energy to be exported fully or partly as hydrogen. A HydePoint platform is a complete offshore solution for receiving, converting, and transmitting the full energy potential from offshore wind farms, with reduced dependence on the onshore power grid. This will reduce the need for upscaling the power grid both to and on land.
