Biography

Rhys is a subsea engineering consultant with extensive expertise in the design, analysis, and monitoring of offshore assets. Specializing in dynamic and deep-water systems, he applies innovative designs using novel materials and cutting-edge modelling techniques, with a recent focus on subsea systems for floating wind farms. Rhys has also developed advanced data analytics models for real-time and post-failure cable integrity assessments, driving more reliable and resilient operations, and is being piloted on the world's first floating wind farm. He has successfully collaborated with asset owners, developers, and operators across the energy, marine, and insurance sectors to enhance the performance and longevity of subsea infrastructure.
