Biography

Dr Mieke Mathys Mieke is a marine geologist with 15 years of experience, holder of a doctoral degree in Quaternary geology with focus on the North Sea and further specialized in geophysical surveys. Mieke Mathys is Senior Advisor and Project Manager, in addition she is Quality coordinator of IMDC. She has written and managed various environmental impact analyses (EIA) for offshore wind farms in Belgium (Rentel, SeaStar, Mermaid, Northwester 2), sand extraction projects and projects involving the construction of an artificial island and export cables for ELIA (Belgian offshore Grid and Modular Offshore Grid).
