Biography
Elena Gonzalez has been working in the wind industry for 10 years. She is currently a Lead Engineer at Iberdrola within the Offshore O&M department, where she is responsible for Data Analysis and Digital Transformation. She studied energy engineering at the University of Valladolid (Spain) and completed her master’s thesis in Wind Energy at Arts et Metiers ParisTech. She then worked for Natural Power, CIRCE foundation and Siemens Gamesa. Awarded by a Marie Curie fellowship, she was enrolled as a PhD student within the AWESOME project. She was then also involved in the ROMEO project as a Deputy Technical Project Manager in Siemens Gamesa. Elena has a wide experience in different areas of the wind energy sector, ranging from resource assessment to the development of advanced algorithms for wind turbine diagnosis. Her current work focuses on the improvement of Offshore O&M strategies through Data Analysis and Digitalisation.
