Research associate, Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems (IWES)
Biography
Farkhondeh studied Aerospace Engineering at TU Berlin, dedicating two years to the numerical simulation of flow over compressor bales in gas turbines. Subsequently, she joined Fraunhofer IWES as a student and completed her master's thesis. Transitioning to a full-time researcher, Farkhondeh focused on meso-scale models, reanalysis datasets, and innovative data-driven methods for characterizing offshore wind profiles, contributing to resource assessment improvement. Her research also involves utilizing scanning lidars in different configurations for wake and atmospheric turbulence measurement, with a broader focus on turbulence characterization.Presentations
