Biography

Dr.-Ing. Doron Callies is Senior Scientist Energy Meteorology at Fraunhofer IEE and also works at the University of Kassel. He has been working in the field of resource assessment at Fraunhofer IEE for fifteen years. During this time he has worked on wind measurements, wind field modelling, wind energy potentials, land use planning and reliability of wind turbines. In 2014, he completed his dissertation on German onshore wind energy potential. Since 2015, he has been a lecturer at the University of Kassel on the resource assessment for wind turbines and has been working there as a postdoctoral researcher since 2019.
