It’s a quick 15-minute walk to St. Stephen’s Green and Grafton Street, and around 30 minutes to 1 hour by bus and taxi to Dublin Airport.
A number of bus routes stop directly outside the hotel. The hotel is also a few minutes’ walking distance from the Luas tram station at Charlemont, linking you to the south and west of the city.

Getting there by plane
- The Clayton Hotel is 30 minutes by car from Dublin Airport – connecting you to over 180 destinations across Europe and beyond.
- The Aircoach 700 bus departs from both airport terminals every 15 minutes and leaves you right outside the hotel, in less than an hour. More info here.
- Taxis to and from the airport cost around €35, and travel time is around 30 minutes (away from rush hour).
Getting there by ferry
- Dublin can be reached by ferry from Holyhead in Wales (2.5 hours), from Liverpool (8 hours) and from Cherbourg in France (19 hours).
- There are regular bus routes running from the port to the city centre, and taxis are also available outside the ferry terminals – taking you to the hotel in under half an hour.
Getting there by bus
- Dublin bus routes 7B, 7D, 11, 46A, 116 and 145 all stop outside the hotel venue. You can use the Transport for Ireland Planner here to help you get there.
