Biography

John Brown is a Technology Excellence Manager at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy based in Newcastle, UK. He currently leads a team focused on technical performance improvements on wind power plants through areas such as analytics deep diving that determine energy loss, recapture opportunities and producing combinations of new solutions to install site specific optimizations, hardware and software. John is also is responsible for leaner technical operations, engineering readiness for new products and knowledge management. Before this role John was the Business Excellence Manager for Northern Europe and Middle East (Offshore), owning and driving AEP and availability improvements and site turnaround programs. John’s background is in Aerospace Engineering, Continuous Improvement and as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. John holds a Ba(hons) Degree in applied Business and Management as well as currently studying an Executive MBA from University of Newcastle
