Biography

JP co-founded REOptimize Systems in 2017 at the time he was an early-stage researcher with the Institute for Energy Systems at Edinburgh University. He is the inventor of the core technology developed by REOptimize, a software platform resulting from more than 7 years of R&D work undertaken at the University, in close collaboration with turbine OEMs. JP holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, he has published in top-class journals and is the recipient of a number of prestigious awards such as the Ramón Salas Edwards (2009) from the Institute of Engineers in Chile, the Young Innovators Challenge (2015) from SIE, the Converge Challenge (2017), and the Shell Springboard Regional competition (2019). He is a deeply motivated engineer and innovator looking to continue collaborating with wind turbine OEMs, operators, and asset managers to help them discover new efficiencies to effectively increase energy yield and lifespan in wind energy.
