Senior Engineer - Scatec, Student University of the Witwatersrand, University of the Witwatersrand
Biography
After completing degrees in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering, I was employed at Toyota South Africa Manufacturing as a Trainee Engineer. I then joined Trans-Africa Projects, a consulting company specialising in the supply of Energy Transmission Network Engineering Services in South Africa. During this time and whilst on a two year sabbatical, I studied a MSc. at Oldenburg University in Germany (the Post Graduate Programme in Renewable Energy Physics). Following that, I was employed at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in South Africa as a Principal Engineer focusing on renewable energy rollout in South Africa. Most recently, I have worked with two IPP's, Mulilo and Scatec, focused locally and globally to practically implement renewable energy solutions, particularly focused on Wind Energy. In terms of research, I am in my fourth and final year of a Phd. in Energy Meteorology at the University of the WitwatersrandPosters
