Senior Applications Engineer, WindESCo
Biography
James holds a Ph.D. in Wind Science and Engineering from Texas Tech University and both a B.S. and M.S. in Meteorology from Florida State University. His doctoral research focused on the engineering of analysis techniques to enhance our ability to resolve wind plants complex flows and examined how wind structure and variability impacts wind turbine and wind plant performance characteristics. Prior to joining WindESCo, James was a Research Scientist in the NOAA Atmospheric Science for Renewable Energy Development group and a researcher and consultant for the Energy Research Center of the Netherlands (now TNO). James has also spent time with GE Renewables in their Aerodynamics and Acoustics team.Posters
