Biography
I am passionate about enabling science based decision making to support wind energy development for the Energy Transition. I am finishing my doctoral research that asks "To what extent do atmospheric kinetic energy constraints shape the wind energy resource potential of regional on and off-shore deployments proposed by 2050?". I evaluate this question by using a combination of complex, numerical weather forecasting and research (WRF), and simple, physical atmospheric kinetic energy Budget (vKE, KEBA) models. My research will enable energy strategists, scenario modellers and policy makers to better incorporate the effects of large scale atmospheric constraints into future projections of wind energy generation aimed at decision-making . Additionally, I have significant work experience in conventional resource potential evaluation and an academic background in Physics and Applied Geophysics.Posters
