Biography

Dr Giorgio Crasto holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering, MSc in Mechanical Engineering and a post graduate diploma in Fluid Dynamics. He has been involved since 2002 in the CFD modeling of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer with steady and unsteady methodologies, RANS and LES. During his carrier he has investigated some aspects of the wind resource assessment as the wind turbines wakes, modelled with analytical models and actuator discs, and the wind flow over forested areas. Today Dr Crasto is a Senior employee at Enel Green Power where he drives within the company the CFD analysis of the wind sites, both in development and in operation.
