Daran is a Principal Scientist at DNV Energy Systems, the world's largest renewable energy consultancy. His singular mission is to provide the most accurate and rigorously researched weather and climate analytics that arm our global clients with unparalleled foresight. With over 28 years of extensive experience, he maintains expertise in numerical weather and climate prediction, climate change, mesoscale meteorology, Monte-Carlo-based methods, atmospheric reanalysis, wind and solar energy, boundary layer meteorology, data science, statistical methods & machine learning. His research and development (R&D) efforts have led to 20 articles in highly ranked peer-reviewed scholarly journals and numerous conference presentations. Daran is also well-known as a highly engaging and informative public speaker.
