Biography
Dr. Angela Meyer has been a Professor of Applied Machine Learning and Industrial Analytics at Bern University of Applied Sciences since 2021. Her research aims at increasing the reliability and performance of industrial assets and power infrastructure with sensor-driven and machine learning approaches. She received a Ph.D. from ETH Zurich in 2015 for work in atmospheric remote sensing. After postdoctoral research in EU project DNICast on short-term solar radiation forecasting for renewable energy generation, she was a data scientist and project leader in data-driven condition monitoring at the R&D centres of Hexagon AB and Siemens Smart Infrastructures.Presentations
