Biography

Lorna is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 15 years’ experience predominantly in the renewable energy sector, involved in the research, design and delivery of both commercial and research projects. Since 2020, her responsibilities have centred on leading ORE Catapult's Circular Economy portfolio, building extensive networks and an international profile; delivering industry-relevant projects with diverse stakeholders from across Government, industry and academia. She leads ORE Catapult's business strategy for Circular Economy, oversees the technical delivery of simultaneous R&D projects, programmes and commercial services; establishing project consortia and successfully winning funding to deliver 26 circular economy related projects to date. Lorna is also Co-Chair of the World Forum Offshore Wind and Engineering X International Committee on End-of-Life (EoL) for Offshore Wind, established to lead a global shift towards safer, more sustainable late-life management of offshore wind infrastructure.
