Biography

Emilio Macías-Amador is a mechatronics engineer specializing in renewable energy systems, control engineering, and data-driven performance analysis. He completed a master’s degree in Smart Energy Systems, with his thesis at Fraunhofer IWES focused in developing a software toolbox to assess and mitigate risks in offshore wind farm logistics. Professionally, Emilio has two years of experience at GE Vernova, working in wind turbine control, digital diagnostics, and performance analytics. He developed automation tools and applied machine learning to detect anomalies in turbine operation. His technical background includes Python, ML, SCADA, and reliability modeling.
