Biography

Giorgio Betteto , Born 05/04/1963 in Padova Italy. Married with 3 sons, in charge of Research and Development Unit of Gees Recycling and senior professional in plastics since after his Venice IUAV architectural study. Has Thirty-years experience in thermosets and thermoplastic production and use and was a pioneer of thermoset recycling, in years 1993-1998 through innovative recycling technologies for rubber, elastomers and laminated fabrics. He supervised the construction of 5 recycling plants in Italy, France and Romania. Winner of 1993 “Oscar dell’Imballaggio” of Italian Packaging Institute; author of EU Brite-Euram III “Neptor” project and co-writer of FLYWINDOVER and BIOISORYZA Horizon 2020 research projects Horizon 2020 Co-author of MAELSTROM , Life Green Composite and REFRESH research project. Reviewer for “Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews”.
