Session description

Much of the attention on recycling in the wind energy industry has been focused on wind turbine blades due to the challenges of their disposal. However, the recycling and sustainable management of other components, such as the towers and the materials they are made of (steel and concrete), are equally important for achieving a fully sustainable wind energy lifecycle. In this session, we will highlight projects that have addressed these issues and see the latest developments in wind turbine tower materials and recycling.
