Come meet the poster presenters to ask them questions and discuss their work

We would like to invite you to come and see the posters at our upcoming conference. The posters will showcase a diverse range of research topics, and will give delegates an opportunity to engage with the authors and learn more about their work. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or simply curious about the latest developments in your field, we believe that the posters will offer something of interest to everyone. So please join us at the conference and take advantage of this opportunity to learn and engage with your peers in industry and the academic community.

On 9 April at 17:15, we’ll also hold the main poster session and distinguish the 7 best posters of this year’s edition with our traditional Poster Awards Ceremony. Join us at the poster area to cheer and meet the laureates, and enjoy some drinks with all poster presenters!

We look forward to seeing you there!

PO174: An Integrated Approach to Wind Park Lifecycle Management Considering the Challenge of Cyber Security

Juergen Koerwer, Service Portfolio Manager, Siemens Energy

Abstract

This presentation will discuss the comprehensive approach to asset management and service of wind parks, encompassing the entire lifecycle from construction to decommissioning. The emphasis will be on ensuring the functional operation of key components, addressing potential failure scenarios, and implementing proactive maintenance strategies, including the continuous closure of gaps, e.g., in the area of cyber security, to avoid such failures. The service approach essentially relies on deploying standardized systems, solutions, and services throughout the lifecycle of a facility. This includes the coordinated lifecycles of all components used, as well as the continuous application of remote maintenance capabilities, and the ongoing monitoring of technical characteristics and regulatory requirements, especially in the field of cyber security. The presentation will emphasize the importance of continuous automated web-based analyses and proactive strategies to maintain the availability of wind park assets. The significance of transparency about the installed hardware and software components, extensive remote diagnostics and remote maintenance capabilities, central and regional expertise, as a crucial prerequisite for being able to offer a timely response to and remedy for failures, will be highlighted. This will enable the audience to timely identify risks related to the lifecycle management of their facility and develop maintenance strategies to ensure sustainable profitability of the facility.
