Biography

Chandra Prakash is a Senior Wind Energy Expert at Deutsche WindGuard (since October 2021), specializing in wind-farm performance, model development, and operational analytics, with over 16 years of experience in the field of wind energy. He holds an M.Sc. in Renewable Energy from the University of Oldenburg (2007–2009) and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Previously, he worked at DNV (formerly DNV GL and Garrad Hassan) from February 2009 to September 2021. Chandra has supported owners, operators, OEMs, and investors on analyses covering more than 20 GW of onshore and offshore wind projects across Europe and Asia, including energy yield assessments, performance monitoring, operation optimization (including wake steering), FGW TR10 assessments, commissioning reviews, and software-upgrade validation using SCADA data. He has delivered presentations on topics related to SCADA-driven data analytics and machine learning, utilizing SCADA data to improve the performance of operating assets, wind farm wake analysis and model development.
