Biography

Thomas Sørensen is an experienced wind energy consultant with over 25 years in the sector. His specialities cover a wide range from offshore wind assessment, including pre- and post-construction energy yield analysis, site wind condition studies, to wind turbine noise assessments. He leads the windPRO offshore training program and is responsible for developing noise and wind resource tools in windPRO, including NORD2000. Thomas has managed technical due diligence for portfolios up to 2 GW, providing independent advice to buyers on operational and pre-construction wind assets. Certified PRINCE2 practitioner. Experienced in managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale, multinational projects.
