Biography

Paula is Research Scientist with SINTEF Energy Research, Norway, where she has worked with applied research on offshore renewable power generation since 2020. She has a Master’s degree in electrical engineering and a PhD in ocean engineering from the COPPE/ Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her research interests include modelling and control of wave and wind energy systems, offshore hybrid generation and their integration into power systems. She is currently leading the SKARV research project, where the main objective is to enable active bird collision avoidance control for wind turbines.
