Biography

Marijn Floris van Dooren is a wind energy scientist with broad scientific knowledge about wind measurement, lidar technology and data analytics. He is an alumnus of the European Wind Energy Master and completed his PhD on lidar measurement, modelling and wind field reconstruction at ForWind - University of Oldenburg in Germany. He shortly worked in the offshore wind research department of UL Solutions in Bremen, Germany, contributing to the RAVE (research at alpha ventus) research initiative. He recently joined TNO (Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research) where he is now working as a project manager for projects involving offshore wind measurements.
